Procter & Gamble led retail sales with a 36% share of retail value shares in 2014. Its leadership is supported by the widest brand portfolio, consisting of Always, Tampax, Discreet and Always Alldays. Moreover, the company has the longest presence on the market, historically the strongest active advertising campaigns and well-established distribution in Uzbekistan which altogether have generated strong consumer loyalty. SCA Group was the second biggest company, holding a 17% value share in 2014. Consumers consider its Libresse as a strong brand, but its distribution is slightly less extensive as that of Always. Kimberly-Clark with its Kotex brand is popular primarily amongst young consumers. This has helped the company to maintain its third position, accounting for 12% of retail value sales.
