New Jersey General Assembly Recognizes Monday, May 19 As Diversity Alliance For Science Day

Diversity Alliance for Science (www.diversityallianceforscience.com) has announced that the New Jersey General Assembly recognizes Monday, May 19 as Diversity Alliance for Science Day in honor of the organization’s inaugural conference and expo in Morristown, New Jersey on May 19 and 20. According to the Assembly Resolution, the House commends all participants for encouraging and strengthening diversity in science and extends its wishes for a successful conference. The conference will be held at the Westin Governor Morris, located at 2 Whippany Road.

The two-day event will focus on highlighting minority, women, service-veteran disabled owned businesses that provide products and services to the clinical and scientific industries. The event’s educational component will focus on developing strategies and solutions to mentor diverse life sciences firms to service large and complex scientific research organizations and government projects. The national event is expected to draw top-level pharmaceutical executives, high-ranking government officials and CEOs of diverse scientific and clinical enterprises. Merck & Co., Inc. is the keynote sponsor for the event.
