On the one hand, air care remained poorly populated in 2014: only spray/aerosol air fresheners had visible and trackable sales, whilst others had negligible sales due to poor supply. On the other hand, any product in air care was offered at a high price, often not attractive to consumers. These two factors had a major impact on sales of air care during the review period and in 2014.

Competitive Landscape

Air care was led by SC Johnson & Son with its Glade brand. It accounted for 21% value share in 2014. Its long-standing presence in the country and continuous introduction of novelties of fragrances helped Glade to be the most selected brand of consumers. Ranked second was Arnest OAO, with its Symphony brand. The company registered 16% value share in 2014 based on competitive prices and solid distribution coverage. Procter & Gamble with its Ambi Pur brand completed the top three with 13% value share, despite modest volume sales but due to highest unit prices.
