Rohto Pharmaceutical continued to lead both allergy eye care and standard eye care and held a total retail value share of 38% in 2015. A couple of products in standard eye care that were launched in 2014 continued to see robust growth in 2015; most of them target certain consumers. Rohto V Active, Rohto Active 40 and Rohto Active 40 mild are for "the active senior". Rohto Digieye is for those consumers that heavily use computers, smartphones and similar eye-straining devices. Rohto V11 is for very tired eyes; it includes maximum concentration of six ingredients. The prices of those products targeting specific consumers are set relatively high, and the company seems to offer more differentiated products than what it already had. In terms of marketing, Rohto Pharmaceutical launched a campaign to promote its products for children in April 2015, in collaboration with Yokai Watch, characters in a mega-hit role-playing video.
