Analgesics sales benefited from a number of factors in 2015 as the category increased by 2% in current value. There are higher levels of stress among the Italian population, which can be linked to the increasingly hectic lifestyles among the Italian population, which are causing more people to suffer from headaches and migraines. According to industry sources, over six million people living in Italy regularly suffer from headaches, which suggests over a million of incidences of headaches on a daily basis, half of which could be treated with analgesics. In addition, sales of analgesics are being boosted by the success of recent new product launches and product switches, which has been able to meet the increasing demand for convenient formats and quicker results. Examples include the recently launched okitask, a ketoprofen-based analgesic which can be consumed on-the-go, and Tachipirina Flash Tab.
