Overall in mixed retailers, Costco Wholesale Canada led with a 28% value share in 2015. Costco accounted for a 72% value share in warehouse clubs in Canada. The company has good penetration in the Canadian market. Costco has been working to rationalise and improve its SKU selection, including more upscale products to drive customer traffic (such as luxury bags from Burberry, and high-end cosmetics such as SKII). Its good returns policy and reputed good quality gained Costco growing popularity.
