In 2015 Bofrost took the leading position from 3SI Groupe for the first time in the review period. The change in leadership was not so much the result of Bofrost strengthening its position in food and drink homeshopping but rather due to a decline in the performance of 3SI Groupe.

The performance of homeshopping will likely continue to suffer, with the category expected to decrease at a CAGR of 3% over the forecast period. The exodus of the Spanish population from more rural areas and small cities, where the bulk of the category’s consumer base is located, into big cities, coupled with the continuous opening of low-cost retailers will likely inhibit the performance of homeshopping over the forecast period.
