We restated historical data for Poland's IT market in the Q216 update on but there was no material change to our assessment of market trends. There was a slowdown in 2015, and sharp contraction in US dollar terms, when the economic environment was challenging and exacerbated product trends in the hardware segment. We expect IT spending growth will improve over the medium term as economic conditions ease, with the hardware segment expected to benefit from income growth, particularly in global currency terms as the zloty appreciates, which will also translate into healthier profits for international vendors. Meanwhile, the software and services segments will be more stable, and driven by product demand in areas such as data analytics, cloud computing and Internet of Things solutions. We forecast total IT spending will increase at a CAGR of 6.3% over 2016-2020 to PLN34.8bn.
