New Study: Global Press Brakes Market 2016-2020

Press brake, also known as brake press, is a machine tool used for bending sheet and plate materials, most commonly sheet metals. Two C frames form the sides of a press brake. These are connected to a table at the bottom and a moveable upper beam on the top; however, opposite configuration can also be used. The top tool is attached to the upper beam, whereas the bottom tool rests on the table. This tool forms predetermined bends by clamping the workpiece between a matching punch and die. The working capability of a press brake is characterized based on parameters such as tonnage, working length, stroke or amplitude, distance between frame uprights or side housings, and work height. The operating speed of an upper beam in a press brake usually ranges from 1 to 15 mm/s.

Technavio's analysts forecast the global press brakes market to grow at a CAGR of 4.54% during the period 2016-2020.
