Obama Farewell to the World

New York, NY – Mike Ducheine, author of "The Obama Legacy", available on Amazon.com at http://amzn.to/2h5Fuya and virtually all bookstores and online retailers worldwide, was in most likelihood the only political analyst with a 100% accuracy in the predictions of the outcome of the 2016 US presidential race for both the primary and the general elections. He opens 2017 with a book signing tour, the first of which on January 15, 2017 at BK9, a bar and kitchen restaurant located in downtown Brooklyn, NY near the Barclays Center.

"Ignorance, said Mr. Ducheine, is the most effective tool of destruction and naivete is an offspring which must be aborted", a belief which incentivized him to finish the book about Obama’s presidency before he exits the Oval Office. The onslaught of misinformation about the 44th president must not simply be swept under the rug of history, exclaimed the author.

The book, The OBAMA Legacy, bears similar title with several other books written about Obama; that’s where all similarities end. The OBAMA Legacy is not a tabulation of praises for the Obama administration. Contrary to what most would expect in a book with such title, it is a hard look at how he has led the country during his presidency.

Case in point, Republicans are outraged at the favorable opinions the author expressed about Obama for the lifting of the embargo on Cuba as well as the Nuclear Deal agreement with Iran and Democrats are furious at the harsh criticism Mr. Ducheine tags the Obama’s administration for his handling of the Ukraine crisis in 2014 as well as the ongoing crisis in Syria.

But nowhere is it more entertaining and enlightening than where the author discusses domestic policies such as Obamacare and LGBT. At one point, he compares the president to the early 20th century magician Harry Houdini who could perform illusory acts which defied logic.

The entertainment aspect quickly disappears under the dark cloud of the author’s viewpoints, a lengthy analysis of how Obama’s foreign policy approach has gradually drifted the country into the sea of another cold war with Russia. The author makes the grim reflection that the wheels of war (perhaps World War III) may have already started to grind and the world could be headed towards another major catastrophe.

A sentiment he expressed in his blog The People Branch in a March 2014 article titled Back to the Cold War picked up by Global News Network, edited and re-titled Crimea Conflict: the Cold War, Again .
