Elena's Models Launches Photo of the Year Competition for 2017 with USD 5,000 Cash Prize

Elena's Models launched its inaugural Photo of the Year Competition for 2017. Any website member is invited to upload a photo and viewers vote for the best picture. The best image of 2017 will collect the cash prize of USD $5,000.

April 2017 is the first month that entries have been called for. 119 users joined the contest, which is now in its first voting week. Monthly winners get $500 cash prize and go into the final to compete for the top honours with the public to assign the scores.

Schedule

• 1-14 day of every month: Collections of entries.
• 15 to the last day of the month: Public voting.

Yearly final

• All monthly winners compete in the final for the title of "Elena's Models Photo of the Year".
• Voting for the best image of 2017 will be held on 1-14 January 2018.

Prizes

• Monthly winner: USD $500
• Yearly winner: $5,000

The contest is conducted through Facebook.

April entries included some artistic photographs as well as matter-of-fact homemade shots and even a few selfies.

Some of the interesting shots include the stunning image of a pretty woman in a blue ball gown in a snow forest. "To take this picture I had to take off my coat in the woods at -30°C (-22°F)," the entrant noted.
Her arty choice attracted supporters.

• "My first vote for you, not only for your braveness, but also for obscuring the pristine nature with your unique beauty," Ruben Costa commented.

• "You don't even look cold, you must have a warm heart," Mark Zetzer added.
Entrant Nadia Seniuk picked with a simple shot with an elaborate makeup: She took on the persona of Harley Quinn from Suicide Squad movie, colouring her two ponytails in pink and blue.

Other participants opted for headshots or body shots, striving to highlight their best features.
