Puerto Rico Sol sign Puerto Rico international Socarras

Puerto Rico Sol FC have completed the signing of Puerto Rico striker Karina Socarras from Spanish club Malaga CF.

Socarras, 24, will wear the coveted number nine shirt. Socarras admitted: "It's a dream to be able to come home and play here again. "My aim is to work, to show the fans how hard I am ready to work. I want to put in lots of effort, to show people my capabilities.

"My ambitions for the future are to do my very best for the Sol, to try to improve and to become a champion."

During her spell with the Amsterdam club, Socarras scored 10 goals in 21 appearances. Her scoring ratio for Puerto Rico is one goal in every international, having scored 16 times in 14 games.
