Peter Lemongello Returns To New York For His First Show in 8 Years.

Published: Tue Sep 25 2018

Singer Peter Lemongello, who discovered a way of reaching fans directly by completely bypassing record companies decades before it became the norm on the internet and TV, returns to New York for his first performance in 8 years at The Cutting Room on 44 East 32nd Street in Manhattan on Saturday, November 3rd at 7PM Eastern.

Peter Lemongello’s story is unlike any other in music. His dream of becoming a star was so big that he made it happen all by himself. Not waiting around for a record company, Peter figured out how to finance and shoot his own TV commercial which he flooded the airwaves with throughout the tri-state area - and this was way before MTV, VH1, BET or QVC were even an idea in someone’s mind.

It worked. Overnight, it made him one of the most talked about artists in the country, selling over a million and a half albums with sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden, Avery Fisher Hall and Carnegie Hall. People like Tony Bennett called him "a future Sinatra." And, he was featured in Time, Newsweek, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and Newsday among others.

Unlikely fans including the late Pat DiNizio, singer/songwriter of the Smithereens, regularly paid tribute and posted about, as he put it, "The Genius of Peter Lemongello."

Backed by a full band, Peter will perform fan favorites including "Do I Love You," "The Hungry Years," "Miss You Nights," songs from his Epic and Private Stock recordings and stories only Peter Lemongello could tell.

Now, he’s finally back and the wait is over for his many loyal fans who’ve been asking and hoping for this one unforgettable night, with a voice that will rekindle old memories and create some new ones.

With a forthcoming documentary, "But Wait There’s More, The Wild Saga of Peter Lemongello," arriving in the not too distant future, this will be one special night.
…and the beginning of a whole new chapter for Peter Lemongello.

Opening for Peter is comedian Mike Marino. Mike has performed in every major comedy club, theatre, casino and event center from New York to Los Angeles and around the world. He’s been featured on numerous talk shows with his cutting edge take on everyday life and his Italian family roots.
