Synametrics Technologies, Inc. a New Jersey-based solutions provider for IT professionals and computer systems developers, has introduced the latest update of Xeams Version 6.6.
Xeams is, a secure and powerful complete mail server for Windows, Linux, Solaris, MacOSX and other flavors of UNIX. Xeams supports SMTP, POP3, and IMAP and features a powerful spam filtering engine that eliminates up to 99% of junk email upon installation.
With email being a main source of communication throughout many organizations, privacy is often a concern. In version 6.6, Xeams introduces end-to end outbound encryption.
Users can compose emails using their normal email composing tool such as MS Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird or any web-based email client. To encrypt the email, users modify the subject line with a pre-configured suffix word, which by default is encpass, followed by the password in brackets.
The email is then converted to a PDF and sent to the recipient who can only open the email using the password designated by the sender.
End-to End encryption was incorporated in Xeams to add an extra layer of protection to your emails. When an email is encrypted, no one but the intended recipient will be able to view the message. This ensures messages containing important data and information remain private and secure.
Other benefits of encryption include; messages can be viewed without internet access or third-party tools and the message will never expire.
