WHOLLY SHIFT! CREATING POSITIVITY WHEN IT'S NEEDED MOST LOCAL GROUP FROM AROUND THE WORLD DECLARES

A local group of business professionals, trainers and coaches may have created a salve for what ails our world in the wake of a pandemic and our own time of extreme political unrest.

Calling for a World Positivity Day this Thursday January 14, the group has developed a website and system to support all individuals in posting at least one positive thought each day for the next 30 days.

"We aren't denying what is happening in the world or stepping past the pain of the present moment," says Evan Hackel, one of the project's creators, "It's just with all that is happening, we needed to inject a little ray of light in the world and make it easy for others to join in."

The project, originally initiated by the Boston Breakthrough Academy, an emotional intelligence and leadership training center recently established in Boston, is now being championed by other training centers around the world including

The Institute for Global Leadership in Europe, United Kingdom and Middle East,

Next Level Training in Philadelphia and Columbus,

Altru Center in New York City,

Mastery In Transformational Training in Los Angeles,

Elevate Training Academy in Chicago,

Ascension Leadership Academy in San Diego and Austin and

The Torch Foundation in Los Angeles and Boston.

Seeking a way to have a positive impact, the project team had been working on the positivity idea when the events of the past week galvanized their resolve. According to Surabhi Singh, a New Jersey resident and one of the co-creators, "There are plenty of things that divide us. But focusing on what we all want for our families and the common hope we all have for the future, we feel the World Positivity Day is a timely step in the right direction."

Using the name of "30-Day Positivity Project" (30daypositivity.com) for their website, the group has developed resources (phrases, quotations and memes on positivity) to support anyone in getting started and adding their own positive intentions on the social media of their choice. Additionally, the team has created a Facebook page and Instagram page with plenty of inspiring examples, all aimed at making it easy for anyone to join in. The group is also using the hash tags #WorldPositivityDay and #30daypositivity.

"This is an idea whose time has come," said fellow team member Agustina Morero of Boston, "and we want to get out there while the window is wide open." The goal of the team is to create 100,000 posts in one day. "It's simple and easy; just 30 seconds a day for 30 days," added Erika Ellis from Liberty Township, OH, "and it all starts this Thursday." World Positivity Day is set for January 14, 2021.
