Mary Cantando, coordinator for the North Carolina Make Mine a Million $ Business™ (www.makemineamillion.org) event, has announced that North Carolina Secretary of State Elaine Marshall has issued a Capitol Citation to honor North Carolina’s first Make Mine a Million $ Business™ event, which will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at the Blake Hotel, located at 555 S. McDowell St. North Carolina is one of only 10 states to host the program in 2008.

The Make Mine a Million $ Business™ Program provides a combination of money, mentoring, marketing and technology tools that help women entrepreneurs grow their businesses from micros to millions. Finalists will be selected from applicants statewide and asked to deliver a business pitch to women entrepreneurs, judges and guests at the event.
