Designer Dan Clements of Worrell, one of the world’s leading product design and development firms headquartered in Minnesota, received the esteemed Bronze 2008 International Design Excellence Award for his design of the Wiegen stroller. Alongside other international winners such as the Apple iPhone and Dewalt tools, Dan competed globally with thousands of design entries for the award.

He designed the innovative stroller for the trendy parent looking for comfort as well as style. The design has been well received in Europe as well as the US, with consumers ready to buy before the first prototype has even been developed. Worrell’s in house engineering and prototyping division is currently crafting the first version of the Wiegen Stroller which is scheduled to be complete towards the end of September 2008.

It is typical for Worrell and it’s designers to be ahead of the curve when it comes to concepts from everything from transportation to consumer electronics to medical equipment. With most of their products a bit more on the serious side, Dan found it to be an exciting and creative project with lots of fun details.
