Gov. Michael F. Easley Welcomes Make Mine A Million $ Business Event To North Carolina

Mary Cantando, coordinator for the North Carolina Make Mine a Million $ Business™ (www.makemineamillion.org) event, has announced that North Carolina Governor Michael F. Easley and the state of North Carolina have issued a letter of welcome to the organization’s inaugural North Carolina event on Oct. 7 at the Blake Hotel, located at 555 S. McDowell St. North Carolina is one of only 10 states to host the program in 2008. In the letter addressed to the Make Mine a Million $ Business™ event, Easley recognized the conference for having the ability to generate strength and enthusiasm among women entrepreneurs that will allow them to return to their respective places of employment with a renewed zeal for their work.

Make Mine a Million $ Business™ provides a combination of money, mentoring, marketing and technology tools that help women entrepreneurs grow their businesses from micros to millions. Finalists will be selected from applicants statewide and asked to deliver a business pitch to women entrepreneurs, judges and guests at the event.
