Miramar, FL – (April 14, 2005) -- Supra Telecom today announced that Kenneth Meister has been named its Chief Executive Officer following Supra’s March 21st announcement of its emergence from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Meister was formerly Chief Financial Officer of FDN Communications, which jointly acquired Supra with H.I.G. Capital, a Miami-based private equity firm.

Meister possesses a unique skill set, having previously worked in the telecommunications and investment banking sectors. Before joining FDN as its CFO, Meister served as CFO of Ionex Telecommunications, a Texas-based telephone company. Before that, Meister served as Senior Vice President in investment banking with St. Petersburg-based Raymond James & Associates, Inc., focusing on capital formation for telecommunications companies. Prior to 1996, Mr. Meister worked as a securities attorney focusing on initial public offerings and mergers and acquisitions.

"Meister has the fiscal expertise and operational experience to make Supra the success we believed was possible when we made our investment", said Mike Gallagher, CEO of FDN Communications.

Meister replaces outgoing Supra Telecom CEO Russ Lambert, who is leaving the Company to pursue other opportunities. Lambert kept Supra Telecom operative during its bankruptcy period.

"This is an exciting new chapter in the Supra story," Meister said. "I’m looking forward to working with the Supra team to continue delivering on the promise to our customers by providing great products at competitive prices, with excellent customer service. I also want to express my appreciation for the job that Russ Lambert and the Supra employees have done in getting Supra to this point, as well as our customers in believing in us".
