Viento Y Agua Gallery and Photographer Christopher Leonhardt present the long awaited exhibit - "The Esoteric Male: A Photographic Representation of the Major Arcana". The Major Arcana, a largely misunderstood and mysterious aspect of the ancient Tarot, has been used for centuries and even today by modern fortune tellers. These 22 mystical cards are simplistically illuminated by the modern photography of Christopher Leonhardt. This collection of male nudes will intrigue and inspire the experienced practitioner of the esoteric arts as well as explain the central themes of the Major Arcana for those never exposed to their vivid imagery. Come and experience the artistry of one of the Los Angeles Art Scene’s most dynamic and unique talents working today. Doors open to this one of a kind experience at 6pm on Saturday, May 14, 2005.

Christopher Leonhardt, a graduate of the CSULA School of Design, adopted the camera as his primary artistic outlet relatively late in his career with brilliant results. His natural ability to bend light to his will has kept him a working photographer for many years shooting everything from lavish weddings to seductive nudes. His work has been shown in an eclectic mix of galleries across LA and Orange Counties such as the Brea Art Gallery, Electra 99 in Anaheim, the Second City Gallery in Long Beach, and Long Beach Arts Gallery in downtown Long Beach. His creativity has taken him into art direction for Suspects, Inc. and set photography at Fuzzbom Studios where he has gained experience in all the avenues of photography and design.

Chosen by Mr. Leonhardt for his involvement as set photographer, Fuzzbom Studios will present the short film Elijah at 7:30 and 9pm. Elijah, a horror/comedy film directed by Ian Kezsbom, takes place on the Jewish holiday of Passover when Jewish families around the world remember the plight of the Jews in Ancient Egypt. In Elijah, an obnoxious college student returns home and learns the true meaning of the holiday in this otherwise irreverent look at a serious subject matter.

Persis Newland and Nikki Landeros, two of the most gifted psychics at Kindred Spirits of Claremont, will be offering Spiritual readings throughout the event.

Lernie Beuler, currently the featured henna artist at the Café Tu Tu Tango Restaurant at the Block at Orange, will be at the opening painting natural henna tattoos.

Please don’t miss Christopher Leonhardt’s never before seen artistic representation of the Tarot’s Major Arcana. Contact Tom Miller, Director of Viento Y Agua Gallery, for more details at (562) 434-1182.
