MedPro Rx, Inc. Is Top Fundraising Team For North Carolina Hemophilia Walk

Nancy McFarlane, president of MedPro Rx, Inc. (www.medprorx.com), a provider of specialty pharmacy services to clients with chronic illnesses, has announced that the MedPro Rx team was the number one fundraiser for the N.C. Hemophilia Walk. The event raised a total of $62,242 for bleeding disorder research, with the MedPro Rx team raising more than $6,200. Led by Jeff Harper, vice president of hemophilia services at MedPro Rx, the pharmacy’s team had more than 80 walkers, making it the largest walker team to participate in the event. Individually, Harper was also the top fundraiser, raising $1,500 for the team.

The Hemophilia Walk is the National Hemophilia Foundation’s largest event dedicated to finding better treatments and cures for bleeding and clotting disorders, and to prevent the complications of these disorders through education, advocacy and research. Participants raise money, locally and nationally, for crucial research, advocacy and education by joining together in a fun and festive event. North Carolina was one of five states to host a hemophilia walk in 2008.
