Livingston certain of place in the SPL after Dundee lose appeal

Livingston FC will be playing in the SPL this coming season after Dundee lost their appeal to the SFA

[ClickPress, Mon Jul 25 2005] LIVINGSTON FC are now certain of their SPL status for season 2005/06, after Dundee lost their appeal to the SFA against the fine handed out to the West Lothian club over their registration of Hassan Kachloul as an amateur.

Dundee had wanted Livingston docked points instead, which would have meant the West Lothian club's relegation to the First Division.

The hearing, on Monday July 25, started at 10.30am and lasted more than nine hours.

Livingston start their SPL season on Sunday, July 31, against champions Rangers.
